Things to do in Noble County

Noble County Indiana

Welcome Great Indiana Golf Guests! ⛳

The Noble County Convention & Visitors Bureau is delighted to welcome you to our beautiful corner of Indiana! While you’re here, we encourage you to explore our unique mix of outdoor recreation, nature trails, museums, an authentic perfumery, an exotic animal sanctuary, and the home of famed author and naturalist Gene Stratton-Porter.

‍Start your visit at Visit Noble County in Kendallville, inside the Community Learning Center on Diamond Street, the county’s official welcome center and your best source for local recommendations and maps.

‍History lovers can cruise along the 1913 Lincoln Highway, America’s first transcontinental highway, stretching from Wolf Lake to Ligonier. Along this scenic byway, tour 33 historic murals in downtown Ligonier or craft your own fragrance at Annie Oakley Perfumery. Enjoy a meal at the 1860 Kimmell House Inn, a charming restaurant and bed & breakfast rich with historic character.

Explore the stories of Noble County’s past on the Tombstone Trail, a self-guided walking tour through historic cemeteries. Pick up the Bicentennial Legacy Guidebook at the tourism bureau or book a guided group tour for 10 or more.

Noble County proudly celebrates its agricultural roots with orchards, wineries, and breweries producing apples, maple syrup, lavender, organic produce, wine, and craft beer. We’re also home to three amazing and unique breweries — Albion Ale House, LaOtto Brewing Co., and Harry Stuff Brewing Company — each offering distinct flavors and a warm local atmosphere.

Get outdoors at Chain O’Lakes State Park, where you can canoe through nine interconnecting lakes, hike scenic trails, or relax at your campsite. Nearby, tour the beautiful grounds of the Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site on Sylvan Lake, or enjoy peaceful walks at Merry Lea Environmental Center and ACRES Land Trust properties.

Looking for something unforgettable? Visit Black Pine Animal Sanctuary to meet rescued tigers, lions, bears, and other exotic animals who now live in peace “for the rest of their lives.”

Wrap up your day at Sylvan Cellars Event Center & Tasting Room in Rome City—a stunning venue offering fine drinks, great company, and an amazing bus system to safely transport golfers to and from local hotels.

And for those looking to keep their swing sharp off the course, Kendallville welcomed a brand-new attraction in late 2025 — the Hidden Albatross Golf Simulator, located downtown and perfect for year-round play.

Whether you’re here for the greens, the trails, or the stories that shaped this land—you’ll find something naturally unforgettable in Noble County. 🌿
